Creating commercial facilities that will draw even more people visiting from overseas

The recent Visit Japan Campaign aims to give the nation a boost through expanded tourism, and that same principle, attracting customers from overseas, is also important to us. We have been striving toward this goal by creating excellent commercial facilities as well as a complete system to make customers feel welcome.

Promoting our shopping facilities globally

Japan. Endless Discovery

The number of people visiting Japan with shopping in mind has been on the rise, and LaLaport Management has been actively pursuing ways to attract these customers. In particular, visitors coming from East Asia are forming a larger and larger percentage of shoppers coming from abroad and we wish to focus on this group. At last years international travel fairs in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, we appeared with three companies from the Mitsui Fudosan Group, had discussions with nearly 200 companies, and deepened our connections in the industry. We plan to continue explaining the strengths of our facilities and pulling in even more shoppers from overseas.

Complete readiness to receive our customers

彻底建立可放心接纳的体制。

We have ten locations awaiting visitors including LaLaport Tokyo Bay, a short trip from Narita Airport and Mitsui Outlet Park Makuhari that are more prepared than ever for customers. Some of these locations have directories, signs and websites in English, Chinese (traditional and simplified) and Korean, as well as special parking for tour buses. However, in addition to this, a knowledge of the culture and shopping habits of different countries is also important so overseas customers can enjoy their time here. To this end, we hold meetings for shop managers that have training courses in basic conversation and customer service, which means we are prepared for customers in both the hard and soft sense.
